It would appear that Conor McGregor has already returned to training. Better yet, the UFC lightweight champion may be looking to make another performance sometime in the near future.
The UFC megastar made his boxing debut back in August, taking on undefeated boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. While McGregor tried to take over the world of boxing by knocking out an undefeated living legend of the sport, “Notorious” would go on to lose to “Money” Mayweather by TKO in the tenth round.
Conor McGregor made the payday of his career from the performance, pulling in an expected $100 million from the fight. As a result, the UFC lightweight champion has largely been enjoying his post-fight break over the summer. That being said, it would appear that McGregor has already returned to the gym and begun working for his next fight.
Speaking on the Talking Brawls podcast, SBG Ireland coach Owen Roddy revealed that “Notorious” has hit the gym.
“If Conor wants to go at the end of the year, then we go straight into camp. He came back training last week, and got a couple of sessions in. He’s back in the gym, after the whole whirlwind. I think it’d be great to let him get back training and enjoy training and take it from there. But at the end of the day, whatever happens happens. If we go into camp tomorrow, we go into camp tomorrow and that’s it.”
