It would appear that “The Eagle” now has a new fight booked.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has had a tough year. The fighter was initially set to take on Tony Ferguson for the UFC lightweight interim title at UFC 209. However, “The Eagle” was pulled from the fight after being rushed to the hospital due to weight management issues. Now recovered from the incident, Nurmagomedov has a new fight in the mix.
UFC officials have confirmed that Nurmagomedov will now be fighting Edson Barboza at UFC 219. The pay-per-view event goes down Dec. 30 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
