Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones finally made his big octagon return this year, following the end of his latest suspension. Headlining UFC 214, Jones faced off against heated opponent and reigning champion Daniel Cormier for his big return.
Jones snagged back his light heavyweight title with a stunning knockout win over his rival. Of course, the victory was short lived.
It was later revealed that Jon Jones had failed his drug test for UFC 214, forcing the fight to be overturned and for Cormier to be handed back his light heavyweight title. Now Daniel Cormier has come forward to reveal that he has no plans to shy away from his rival if Jon Jones is not delegated a lengthy suspension.
A USADA official recently revealed that Jon Jones may not be served a devastating suspension for his failed drug test after all. However, Jones will have to be able to prove that the substance entered his system accidentally.
Speaking on his podcast Talk and Talker Daniel Cormier explained that if Jones can avoid the suspension, he “would like that fight every day of the week.”
