Well, it would appear that Conor McGregor’s seemingly inevitable match up against Tony Ferguson is becoming more and more certain.
Having choked out Kevin Lee for the interim title, Ferguson is now set on facing “Notorious” in a war to unify the UFC lightweight title. Taking to Twitter after being called out by the newly crowned interim champion, Conor McGregor posted a simple hint– “Tony.”

Now UFC President Dana White has decided to join the conversation. Speaking on the Pardon My Take podcast, White refuted rumors that Conor McGregor will be returning to the octagon for a highly anticipated trilogy rematch against Nate Diaz. When asked about the possibility of the fight, White said:
“It has literally not even been talked about.”
The podcast host went on to revisit the idea of McGregor facing Diaz and White retorted:
“That all sounds great, but it’s probably going to be Tony Ferguson in Las Vegas.”
Now it would appear that Tony Ferguson vs. Conor McGregor is becoming a likely match up for Las Vegas, Nevada.
