Dana White Names The UFC’s Next Big Star

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is always on the hunt for the next MMA superstar. Now it would appear that White has an idea as to which fighter that will be next.

UFC bantamweight champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt has made a name for himself in the mixed martial arts promotion. An undefeated knockout artist, Garbrandt scored the bantamweight title over Dominick Cruz just last year. Appearing on The Dan Le Batard Show, Dana White revealed that he believes “No Love” may be the UFC’s next big star.

When asked which fighter he believes will be the promotion’s next big thing, White responded:

“Our most bankable star? Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden — this kid who’s the world champion, he’s gonna fight. His name is Cody ‘No Love.’ Very marketable guy. I think Cody ‘No Love’ could be the next big star.”

Cody Garbrandt will be making his first title defense on Nov. 4 at UFC 217 on pay-per-view. In the night’s co-main event, Garbrandt will be taking on former teammate and former champion T.J. Dillashaw in a heated grudge match for the belt.
