Finally, today’s UFC main event between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Darren Till is here.
“The rankings don’t matter.” Cerrone said of Till prior to their fight at UFC Fight Night 118. “I feel like in the last year the rankings don’t f–king matter anyway, right? ‘Cowboy’ takes a fight with somebody (unranked), and they’re like, ‘What the f–k?’ But someone who has the title can fight anybody they want, and it’s like, ‘Ah, that’s just a good fight.’ Come on, man. It seems like the last year the rankings aren’t mattering. I just needed an opponent.”
And as it turned out, Cerrone was right. The rankings didn’t matter and Darren Till wasn’t going to be intimidated by Cerrone’s reputation.
In the first round, Darren Till delivered on his promise, and didn’t even let Cerrone get started.
Darren Till picked Cerrone apart until he found the finish with strikes and the referee stepped in to save Cerrone from any further damage.
Till ended it and barely broke a sweat.
