Floyd Mayweather Jr. has put on a storied boxing career. Pulling himself out of retirement, “Money” Mayweather faced off against UFC megastar Conor McGregor for his 50th boxing performance this summer. Earning a TKO victory over “Notorious” and receding back into retirement, Mayweather has now culminated a perfect professional record of 50-0. The boxer has earned over $700 million from his performances. Including his recent McGregor match up, Mayweather is expected to become one of the few athletes to ever reach a worth of $1 billion. While “Money” still wants to look fashionable while out on the town, the boxer is not looking to fit in with the crows.
Appearing on Hollywood Unlocked, Mayweather explained why he doesn’t wear Nike Air Jordans. Here is what the boxer had to say:
“If I’m in the club and I’ve got on Jordans and True Religion jeans, I would look like everybody else in the club. I’ve got a different type of money, so I’m going to look different.”
