The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted the pre-fight press conference for UFC 217 today. With Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre heading the show with a flurry of exchanges, the conference proved to be another exciting event for the mixed martial arts promotion.
UFC 217 is set to go down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. In the night’s pay-per-view main event, UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping will be looking to make his second title defense as he welcomes former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre back into the octagon.
Georges St-Pierre retired from MMA nearly four years ago, though “Rush” was still reigning UFC welterweight champion at the time. Now, St-Pierre is making a return to the octagon for a run at the middleweight division.
During today’s pre-fight press conference, Georges St-Pierre appeared to lose his composure when he was interrupted by “The Count.”
Answering a reporter, Georges St-Pierre said:
“He’s going to lose come Nov. 4. Water is wet. Fires burns. And, I’m going to beat Michael Bisping.”
After being interrupted by Michael Bisping, Georges St-Pierre seemingly lost his composure.
Raising his voice and now staring directly at Michael Bisping, Georges St-Pierre said:
“I’m gonna do whatever I want to do, when I want to do it. That’s what I’m going to do.”
The former welterweight champion’s face can be seen getting increasingly more red as he continues to shout heated words at Michael Bisping.
