The good folks over at Bellator MMA have released a complete event highlight of last Friday’s Bellator 185 event.
Bellator 185 featured the promotional debut of former top ranked UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi. In the fight, Mousasi fought the promotion’s former champion Alexander Shlemenko and nearly suffered defeat in his promotional debut.
“If I win my next fight, they’re all going to forget the last one,” Mousasi said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “That’s how the memory of these idiots work. They have short memory. They’re like goldfish or something.”
It was a razor close fight, that he won via unanimous decision.
Also on the card was boxing champion Heather Hardy, who got dominated and stopped in her second professional fight.
“Congrats to a game Kristina Williams, who had an answer for everything I tried. OSU!” Hardy said following the loss. “And incase everyone is wondering, YES, I will be back. Nothing will ever take the fight out of me, not even this broken nose. I knew coming into this new world I was taking a big risk, and this is all part of my journey. . You’ve all heard how resilient I am. Now watch me bounce back.”
