In the city of Quixada, Brazil, an alleged assault took place between UFC’s Rony Jason and a woman. The assault occurred during a party. A video of the incident has made its way onto the internet, as seen in the clip above. In the video, a woman can be seen being struck by the former The Ultimate Fighter winner. Jason punches the woman, as he screams at her.
The fighter is eventually pulled off of the woman by a group of concerned party goers. Now a new report claims that the woman suffering the attack was Jason’s sister.
Brazilian news source G1.com has reported that Jason’s alleged assault was on his sister and the Quixadá Civil Police are taking “appropriate measures” for the incident. In order to not disrupt the investigation, it was not revealed which measures would be deemed appropriate. Witnesses reported that Jason was intoxicated during the incident. Jason’s sister reportedly did not go to authorities after the incident.
In 2012, Rony Jason competed on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. Coming out as the winner of the season, Jason has gone on to compete in the UFC for his mixed martial arts career. Most recently, the fighter suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jeremy Kennedy. Jason has not won inside the octagon since 2014.
