The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has put another exciting day of fights in the books. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion made a trip to Gdansk, Poland for UFC Fight Night 118. Headlining the show, welterweight contender Donald Cerrone faced off against the undefeated Darren Till. Well, things did not quite go Cerrone’s way.
Darren Till immediately pressured his opponent with a series of powerful strikes. Pressing Cerrone against the cage, Till finished “Cowboy” off with a flurry of blows that earned him a swift and dominant first round TKO victory.
Cerrone is now coming off of a three fight losing streak. The fighter faced a unanimous decision loss to former champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 214. At UFC on FOX 23, “Cowboy” was put down by talented striker Jorge Masvidal for a second round TKO loss.
Now UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan and former UFC competitor Brendan Schaub have decided to offer their thoughts on Cerrone’s fighting future. On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, featuring 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu founder Eddie Bravo, the men discussed Cerrone’s reputation for being a fighter willing to take on any opponent at any time. Schaub and Rogan also added that “Cowboy” has a tendency to allegedly spend his money at a frivolous pace.
