Opening up Saturday’s UFC Poland event is a pair of featherweights in the form of Team Alpha Male’s Josh Emmett vs. Felipe Arantes.
In the first round, the Team Alpha Male standout had dropped Arantes with punches three-times by the midway mark. Emmett dropped the Brazilian a fourth time at the three-minute mark too. The power disparity has been evident with every exchange and it’s all Emmett in round 1.
In the second round Arantes seemed timid after feeling Emmett’s power in the first. He tried to get these going with a jab, but he was not winning the exchanges. Emmett didn’t drop his opponent in the second frame, but he remained the bully, and with 15 seconds left grabbed a takedown and landed some significant damage from top position.
In round three it was more of the same.
In the end, the judges scored it in favor of Josh Emmett.
Result: Josh Emmett def. Felipe Arantes via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-25)
