The last time former UFC welterweight champion and Hall-Of-Fame fighter Matt Hughes posted on his social media was June 15th. . . . Then his accident happened.
The former UFC champion had a near death experience when a speeding train hit his truck, putting him into a critical state and in hospitals for months following. Now in recovery from a traumatic brain injury it is presently unknown what is next for one of MMA’s most beloved fighters.
However, just a few moments ago, Hughes took to Twitter for the first time since his accident, to thank his longtime friend and teammate Tony Zucca for all his help in his time of need.
It’s a great sign that Hughes is slowly returning to the man we all love.

Thanks for everything Sir. You don't have to have the same blood to be family @tony_zucca
