When it comes to the question of “Legacy” a fighter is left with only their wins and losses as proof of their accomplishments.
For many losing to a man tarnishes that legacy. When the loss is then avenged via a controversial and razor-close decision, is the legacy back in place?
Many would say no, which is why we believe Nate Diaz just struck Conor McGregor with a one-word reminder.
Back in August, McGregor suffered a TKO defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. While “Notorious” may have faced a loss, the fighter gained the payday of his career with an expected $100 million. Now fans are looking to the future to see what could be next for “Notorious.”
Tony Ferguson just snagged the interim lightweight title at UFC 216, making “El Cucuy” a likely opponent for McGregor’s octagon return. Still, there is another fight that many fans have been aching to see.
UFC lightweight contender Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have formed quite the rivalry through the years. In their first match up inside the octagon, Diaz managed to choke out his opponent for a stunning victory. But in the following rematch, McGregor squeezed by with a decision victory. Now many fans are ready to see the two MMA phenoms throw down for a trilogy rematch.
Taking to Twitter, Nate Diaz recently offered a single word to the world. The fighter stated, “legacy.”
Legacy…

While a single word social media post is not enough to guarantee Diaz’s point-of-view on the return of “Notorious.” The message has already been enough to get many fans excited for their potential trilogy super-fight.
