Back at UFC 211, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on a dominant performance over Jessica Andrade for yet another successful defense of her title. Still undefeated, Jedrzejczyk no holds a professional record of 14-0. That being said, the champion was not in a great place after her dominant title defense.
Jedrzejczyk’s wrestling coach Kami Barzini was departing from the fighter’s American Top Team gym. As a result, Jedrzejczyk was in an emotional state following her recent victory. During the UFC 211 post-fight press conference, MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani elected to ask the champion about her coach’s departure.
Asking Jedrzejczyk if she will attempt to get him to return to her training camp, Helwani asked the final question for the night. Jedrzejczyk burst into tears and walked out of the press conference.
Ariel Helwani’s awkward moment with the champion can be seen in the video above.
