Tonight, fight fans are flocking to Sao Paulo, Brazil for UFC Fight Night 119. The event is set to feature the long awaited octagon return of Lyoto Machida, as the former UFC light heavyweight champion takes on Derek Brunson in tonight’s main event.
In the semi-final preliminary fight of the night, middleweights Antonio Carlos Junior and Jack Marshman went toe-to-toe.
Carlos Junior quickly tried to take the center of the octagon from Marshman in the first round. The fight made its way to the ground, putting Marshman on the mat with a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion.
Carlos Junior eventually made his way to the mount position, after delivering some damaging ground and pound. Before the end of the first round, Carlos Junior sank in a rear-naked choke for a victory over Marshman.
