The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) headed out to Sao Pauo, Brazil tonight for UFC Fight Night 119. In the night’s opening fight, heavyweight newcomer Marcelo Golm faced off against Christian Colombo for his big octagon debut.
Golm dominated the fight early on, pinning his opponent against the fence with a flurry of strikes. Continuing to apply the pressure, Golm began to wrestle with Colombo. Taking his back, Golm was able to sink in a rear-naked choke submission victory in the first round for a stunning octagon debut.
Tonight’s main event will feature the return of Lyoto Machida, as he takes on Derek Brunson.
