In today’s UFC Poland co-main event, Poland’s own Karolina Kowalkiewicz went up against Jodie Esquibel in a battle of strawweights.
In the first round Jodie didn’t offer much for the Polish product, who successfully kept her opponent at bay with a massive output of accurate strikes. The first round was easily won by the hometown girl.
The second round was another good one for Karolina, who was constantly able to land her combination in close range throughout the frame. In the end of the round, the Polish fighter jumped for an armbar, locked it up, but Jodie was able to stay defensive until the bell sounded.
The third round was much of the same, Karolina just put on a brilliant performance in front of her hometown crowd.
She walks away with this one.
Result: Karolina Kowalkiewicz def. Jodie Esquibel via unanimous decision (30-17, 30-27, 30-27)
