As a former UFC champion and a mixed martial arts legend, Vitor Belfort has a target on his back for every up and coming fighter looking to make a name for themselves. Now it would appear that “The Phenom” has shut down a call out from Anthony Smith.
Smith is unranked within the UFC middleweight division. On a hot streak, Smith has earned a finish in all of his last three fights. Most recently, the fighter earned a knockout victory over Hector Lombard at UFC Fight Night 116.
Taking to Twitter, Smith has decided to use social media to try to get the mixed martial arts legend’s attention. After being turned down by Belfort, Smith said:
“@vitorbelfort seriously? For real dude? Lol mind blown…”
Smith later returned to Twitter to try getting Belfort’s attention one more time.
@vitorbelfort seriously? For real dude? Lol mind blown…
