The number one mixed martial arts promotion in the world continues to add to their already stacked UFC schedule with the addition of five big fights to upcoming cards.
The biggest UFC schedule news is the return of MMA legend Vitor Belfort who will head to St. Louis to face off against middleweight knockout artist Uriah “Primetime” Hall at UFC Fight Night 124 in January. Belfort is coming off a unanimous decision victory over UFC veteran Nate Marquardt this past June at UFC 212. The win was Belfort’s first since his knockout victory over Dan Henderson in November of 2015 at UFC Fight Night 77.
Uriah Hall is also coming off a stunning knockout victory over Krysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night 116 this past September. The win snapped a three fight losing streak for Hall who hadn’t been in the win column since the Gegard Mousasi fight in September of 2015.
In addition, the UFC has also booked a flyweight fight between former bantamweight Jessica “Evil” Eye vs. Kalinda Faria on the same upcoming card in St. Louis. Eye was supposed to make her flyweight debut against Paige VanZant at UFC 216 but the bout was scrapped when VanZant pulled out due to multiple ailments.
Also added to the upcoming UFC 220 card is a light heavyweight fight featuring Gian Villante and Francimar Barroso. UFC 220 takes place on January 20th at the TD Garden in Boston.
