UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson is riding a two fight winning streak. That being said, it would appear that the the mixed martial arts warrior has been having some issues with an injury as of late. As a result, “The Mauler” decided to get surgery.
Taking to Instagram, Gustafsson revealed that he had a metal plate keeping his collarbone intact for some time now. That being said, following a recent procedure, the light heavyweight contender’s shoulder is now in much better shape.
Here is what Gustafsson had to say over social media on the recent operation.
“UPDATE! Op done Got my shoulder fixed, feel great, been 3 month with a plate keeping my collarbone in place! Now rehab and slowly getting back in 100% training! Can’t wait to get back to the octagon.”
Gustafsson most recently earned a knockout victory over Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 109.
