Former American Top Team member Nik Lentz has been in a heated rivalry with former Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks as of late. The two fighters were set to face off at UFC 216, but Lentz pulled out of the event on moments notice due to an injury.
The fighters finally met inside the octagon at Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 121. The event went down inside the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia and featured a session of exciting fights. Among them, Lentz and Brooks entered a brawl. In the end, Lentz managed to sink in a guillotine choke in the second round for a submission victory over the former Bellator champion.
In his post-fight interview, Lentz called out every fighter at American Top Team. He said, “I got $50k that no one on ATT can beat me. Money on the table right now. Line ’em up like Mortal Kombat!”
Now American Top Team coach Din Thomas has come forward with a response. For Thomas, team member Dustin Poirier would likely be a tough challenge for the fighter.
“I knowwwwww. @DustinPoirier would body him.”

Poirier recently earned a brutal submission victory over former UFC champion Anthony Pettis at UFC Fight Night 120.
