ONE Welterweight champion Ben Askren has never been defeated in his mixed martial arts career. The fighter has some seriously tough opponents during his tenure with the ONE Championship. In the end, Aksren earned a total 18 victories as a professional.
Askren most recently faced off against Shinya Aoki at One Championship: Immortal Pursuit. The champion was targeting the fight to be his final MMA performance, as the fighter has been considering retirement. That being said, it would appear that Askren’s decision is not yet entirely set in stone.
Askren put on a dominant performance over Aoki, earning a first round TKO finish over the fighter. Taking to Twitter, the champion recently hinted that he may not be quite done with MMA yet.
“It always had an asterisk for 1 more fight for #1.”

Later, Askren returned to the social media service to prod UFC middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre into a possible future match up.
“@GeorgesStPierre how’s the spring weather in Montreal? I hear it’s a nice time to test your true Martial Arts skills.”
