It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has made some serious changes to an upcoming event. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion has entirely changed the location of it’s yet unformed fight card for Feb. 24.
Initially, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was looking to pin Darren Till and former title challenger Stephen Thompson against each other in Liverpool for the Feb. 24 event. However, it has been reported that “Wonderboy” Thompson has since suffered an injury. As a result, the event will no longer be taking place in Liverpool. Rather, the event has shifted to Orlando, Florida.
Las Angeles Times’ Lance Pugmire recently took to Twitter to reveal the big UFC schedule change.
“Some updates from @ufc … Feb. 24 is definitely on for Orlando. Main event is TBA…and while the desire is to place @darrentill2 in Liverpool next (date TBA), “Wonderboy” Thompson sidelined by UFC 217 injury.”
