After Career Defining Knockout Over Sanchez, Matt Brown Second Guessing Retirement Decision

Matt Brown devastated Diego Sanchez on Saturday night with a brutal elbow strike knockout in the first round. The big knockout victory pulled Brown out of a three fight losing streak. Now it would seem that the victory may have done more than that for the mixed martial arts veteran.

Brown was originally considering UFC Fight Night 120 to be the final stop in his mixed martial arts career. However, it would appear that the fighter is not so certain if he would like to retire anymore.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Brown said:

“To be honest, I’m not even thinking about it right now. It’s not even really a thought in my mind. I’m thinking about enjoying tonight, and we’ll talk about it later.”

The fighter then revealed what it has been like considering his retirement.

“I’ve definitely had more people tell me not to retire than to retire. But nobody other than me and my family really has any bearing on that – and close friends. So I’m not even going to allow anybody else’s opinions to get into my mind like that.”
