UFC superstar Conor McGregor recently offered a public apology for the incident at Bellator 187. That being said, it would not appear that the lightweight champion’s message has been universally accepted.
“Notorious” had a confrontation with referee Marc Goddard at Bellator 187. Conor McGregor was cage side in support of teammate Charlie Ward and stormed the cage after Ward dropped his opponent in the first round.
In his public apology, McGregor critiqued Goddard’s hesitance in stopping the fight and claimed the referee played a role in his decision to storm the cage. Now former UFC competitor and current analyst Dan Hardy has come forward with his thoughts on the situation.
“Apologize at the start and finish of the statement, but put your real thoughts/excuse in the middle. That’s called a #Sh*tSandwich”
