Much like when Conor sparred Paulie, fight fans and the public are getting two completely different stories when it comes to Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt.
For months now we’ve heard TJ denying the allegations that Team Alpha Male has a video of him getting schooled by Garbrandt, and for months now Team Alpha Male has been insistent that they’re telling the truth.
That speculation ended yesterday when Garbrand released the video (above).
Now, much like when Conor sparred Malignaggi, Dillashaw claims that if Cody released the rest of the tape, it would tell a much different story.
It’s the things that make you go, ‘hmmmm?’…
Taking to MMAjunkie, Dillashaw stated, “Yeah, tell him to keep playing the video,” Dillashaw said. “I get up and start going again. There was no KO like he’s been stating.”
Luckily for us all, we get to see what happens when the two have 25-minutes to sort things out.
This year’s return trip to Madison Square Garden is proof the UFC can still deliver a stacked mega-card, with all the bells and whistles.
Set to headline next week’s MSG card, Georges “Rush” St-Pierre returns to the Octagon for the first time in over four years. He will face off against the UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in the UFC 217 main event, on pay-per-view.
Also on the night’s fight card is a long-awaited title fight between ex-teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw. And a big strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzerjczyk and “Thug” Rose Namajunas.
