It would appear that Bellator MMA will now be adding a pro-wrestling superstar to their stacked roster.
Jack Hager, best known by his professional wrestling moniker Jack Swagger, earned a collection of fans throughout his career in the WWE. While Hager is no longer with the WWE, the wrestler revealed to MMA Fighting on Monday that he has signed a fight contract with Bellator MMA.
Hager is not the first WWE superstar to make the move to mixed martial arts. After signing with the UFC, Brock Lesnar would go on to earn a title under the heavyweight division. Phil Brooks, also known as CM Punk, faced a tough loss in his debut inside the octagon.
That being said, Hager is a former All-American wrestler out of the University of Oklahoma. Perhaps the WWE superstar will fair somewhat better in his big MMA debut. The wrestler turned fighter expects to make his first fight under the Bellator banner in 2018 under the heavyweight division.
