It hasn’t even been four days and UFC middleweight and former welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre is showing zero attachment to his shiny new piece of hardware.
St. Pierre made his triumphant return to the octagon this past weekend at UFC 217 by defeating Michael Bisping for the UFC middleweight title in the third round.
As is always the case with GSP, he’s all class with how he’s handling the historic victory.
Instead of adding it to his mantle, as a symbol of his history defining UFC 217 win over Michael Bisping, the UFC champion has decided to give his belt away to one of his coaches.
Georges St. Pierre took to Twitter with the news:
“Happy to give my new middleweight belt to coach Victor. I owe a big part of my success in the octagon to the Montreal Wrestling Club & YMHA!”
