Germany’s Dennis Siver Issues A Statement On Conor McGregor Calling Him A Nazi

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is perhaps growing just as famous for his antics outside of the octagon as he is for his accomplishments inside the cage. Most recently, “Notorious” created an incident at Dublin, Ireland’s Bellator 187. Of course, this is not the first time the UFC lightweight champion has caused a stir.

Back in 2015, McGregor went toe-to-toe with mixed martial arts veteran Dennis Siver at UFC Fight Night 59. During some heated trash-talk leading up to the fight, McGregor referred to the German MMA veteran as a Nazi. Speaking to RT Sport, Siver has now come forward with a new statement on the matter.

He said:

“It just showed his level. He just wants to say things to be noticed. Although he doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. It’s just pure ignorance. He didn’t even know that although I represent Germany, I come from Russia. And then again, calling a person a Nazi just because he represents Germany is pure ignorance.”
