If you’re a Canadian sports fan, it gets no bigger than Hockey and Georges St-Pierre.
GSP made his triumphant octagon return at UFC 217 where he defeated Michael Bisping to become the new UFC middleweight champion. The fight was the first time St-Pierre had been in the octagon in over four years and just like that he’s back to being a massive star.
A few weeks removed from the historic victory at Madison Square Garden, GSP returned to his home soil to drop the puck at the Montreal Canadians game in front of a happy crowd of fans packed into the arena.
The newly minted UFC middleweight champion was even taken back by the crowd’s reaction to his presence.
