Certified MMA legend Jake Shields once fought Georges St. Pierre for the UFC’s welterweight title, and now the former Strikeforce champion is helping him prepare for his UFC return.
For GSP, Jake Shields represents an active fighter of the highest order, rare to find available for a full-camp, as he readies for his long-awaited UFC return against Michael Bisping.
Jake Shields, recently talked to Submission Radio about where GSP is at ahead of this weekend’s UFC 217 event. For his part, Shields was nothing but impressed with the former welterweight champion, even going as far to say that he has the best takedown in the sport today.

Set to headline next week’s MSG card, Georges “Rush” St-Pierre returns to the Octagon for the first time in over four years. He will face off against the UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in the UFC 217 main event, on pay-per-view.
Also on the night’s fight card is a long-awaited title fight between ex-teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillasaw. And a big strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzerjczyk And “Thug” Rose Namajunas.
