That MMA Fighting NHL Hockey Player Returns, Just Knocked Out Someone On The Ice With One Punch

An exciting hockey game went down on Saturday, Nov. 25, inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The L.A. Kings and the Anaheim Ducks met on the ice for a tough game. While the event was its own reward, something else has hockey fans talking as of late.

During the game, opposing players Kevin Bieksa and Andy Andreoff entered a scuffle. This is not Bieksa’s first run-in on the ice, as the player has taken out opponents with mixed martial arts skills in the past. While fights on the ice are nothing terribly new to the game of hockey, Bieksa decided to add something unexpected to the equation this time around.

In the video above, Bieksa can be seen dropping his opponent with a clean superman punch to the face. The strike caught the night’s announcers off-guard, as they quickly reclaimed their senses to explain the mixed martial arts move.
