The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made its second trip to Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, Nov. 4, for UFC 217. The highly anticipated fight card featured the octagon return of Georges St-Pierre, who has been away from the UFC for nearly four years.
The fight card included three exciting title fights, in which each title contender managed to earn a finish on their opponents. Rose Namajunas kicked off with the first title fight victory of the night when she earned a first round knockout over UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt suffered a TKO loss to T.J. Dillashaw in the night’s co-main event, while middleweight title holder Michael Bisping faced a submission loss to Georges St-Pierre in the headliner for the event.
