As far as mixed martial arts personalities go, UFC commentator Joe Rogan’s ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ (JRE) podcast is as big as they come.
Even outside of the world of MMA personalities, Rogan’s podcast is among the elite and most watched podcasts in the world today.
Capitilizing on the success of his podcast, Rogan has now launched a new all MMA version of his Joe Rogan Experience.
Unbeknownst to Rogan, the name of his show was already taken. Set to debut his show under the JRE “MMA Hour” name, Rogan later decided to ditch that and go for JRE “MMA Show”.
Of course, Ariel Helwani’s podcast is the MMA Hour, and while it’s small in comparison to Rogan’s podcast presence, Joe decided to concede the name and issue an apology.
Here’s what he said;
“I changed the name of the new podcast from the JRE MMA Hour to the JRE MMA Show out of respect to @arielhelwani I forgot that The MMA Hour was the name of his show. My apologies. That was fun today. I think I’ll definitely do more of those.”
