It was a shocking result for former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, in what was to be her defining moment as UFC champion. Jedrzejczyk was on the cusp of tying Ronda Rousey’s title defense record at UFC 217, but it was not meant to be.
The former champ’s worst fears had come to fruition, thanks to a Rose Namajunas left hook that would end her night quick. Joanna seemed to be a step behind from the moment she entered the octagon and Namjunas was on her game earning a stunning TKO finish in round one.
No longer champion, UFC cameras followed Joanna Jedrzejczyk around backstage, and the promotion has just released the footage.
