Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was initially set to headline the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s trip to China at UFC Fight Night 122. However, “The Spider” has since been pulled from the night’s fight card.
Silva was initially set to face off against Kelvin Gastelum inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China on Nov. 25. However, Silva has since been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping policy violation.
The two fighters were initially set to face off at UFC 212, however Gastelum was pulled from the fight due to failing a drug test for marijuana metabolites. Now the fighters’ rescheduled match up is off the table as well.
Reacting to the recent news, Gastelum stated over Twitter:
“Breath……..inhale ……….exhale”
