UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor made combat sports history in August when he stepped into the boxing ring with undefeated boxing king Floyd Mayweather. The success of the event was massive and propelled McGregor into a different stratosphere as an athlete who can now demand some serious money.
The UFC lightweight champion was able to go ten rounds with Mayweather but would ultimately be stopped via TKO. However, he was also applauded for his performance especially given his lack of boxing experience.
Now, it appears that another boxing great is gearing up to fight Conor McGregor in 2018 as Manny Pacquiao has officially called out McGregor.
“Happy Thanksgiving! Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018@thenotoriousmma”

Conor McGregor’s next move is currently unknown, but he’s been rumored to return against interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson though a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz is always an option.
