The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is opening up a new female division of fighters, as the mixed martial arts promotion is now implementing a female flyweight division. In order to crown a champion for the new division, flyweight fighters are facing off in the newest season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The winner of season 26 of The Ultimate Fighter will be crowned the UFC flyweight champion. Now it would appear that another UFC competitor is already claiming to have a fight set up with whichever competitor wins the title.
Paige VanZant was initially set to make her flyweight debut in a battle against Jessica Eye at UFC 216. However, the fighter was pulled from the event after suffering a series of injuries.
Now “12 Gauge” has gone to Twitter to claim that she has her next fight lined up.
She stated, “My next fight is against the winner of the 125 division Ultimate Fighter. Don’t blink.”
