Quinton “Rampage” Jackson amassed a hoard of fight fans during his tenure with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The light heavyweight went on to earn a title under the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion, putting the fighter among the upper echelon of the sport’s competitors. However, the fighter recently spent some time under the Bellator MMA banner.
Back in April of 2015 Jackson returned to the UFC for one fight, but Bellator CEO Scott Coker maintained that Jackson was still under contract with them. Shortly afterward Jackson was able to settle the contractual dispute with Bellator and returned to action for them.
Going 2-1 with the promotion, “Rampage” earned a decision victory over Muhammed Lawal and Satoshi Ishii. Lawal returned with a decision win over the fighter in their rematch. Now Bellator has announced that Jackson has signed a multi-fight deal with the mixed martial arts promotion. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is expected to return to the Bellator MMA cage early 2018.
