The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is beginning to pull together yet another interesting fight card. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion has announced four match ups for the first pay-per-view event of 2018.
UFC 220 will kick off the UFC’s pay-per-view year of 2018 inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on Jan. 20, 2018. However, until now, no match ups had been locked down for the card. Well, the promotion recently came forward with four exciting fights.
UFC featherweights Brandon Davis and Kyle Bochniak are now set to go toe-to-toe for division dominance. On a seven fight winning streak, Davis will be making his debut inside the octagon as he takes on his 7-2 opponent.
In another featherweight match up, Calvin Kattar and Shane Burgos will throw down for the Detroit crowd. Burgos has yet to lose inside the octagon, with three victories under the UFC banner. Kattar, on the other hand, is riding a successful octagon debut that put the fighter on a nine fight winning streak.
The UFC has also locked down an exciting flyweight match up, as Dustin Ortiz and Alexandre Pantoja are set to face off against each other. In a lightweight brawl, Islam Makhachev will be fighting Gleison Tibau as well.
