Sydney, Australia offered an entertaining night of fights on Saturday, Nov. 18, inside the Qudos Bank Arena. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted UFC Fight Night 121 for the Sydney crowd, offering a series of Australian natives on the night’s card. Among them, UFC’s Bec Rawlings and Jessica-Rose Clarke went toe-to-toe in the night’s co-main event.
Rawlings was initially set to face off against Joanne Calderwood in the night’s co-headliner. However, Calderwood was pulled from the exciting match up after suffering an injury. As a result, Rawlings was pinned against Jessica-Rose Clarke on short notice.
Rawlings made her debut in the UFC’s new flyweight division for the fight, entering an all out war with her opponent. The fight ultimately went the distance, after both fighters performed at a break neck pace. In the end, Clarke managed to snag a close split decision victory over her opponent.
Now fighters have decided to come forward with their thoughts on the match up. Check out what many competitors had to say in the Twitter posts below:
