Early Saturday morning, the UFC returned with an action packed fight card for UFC Fight Night 122 from Shanghai, China.
In the day’s main event, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping suffered a first round K.O. loss to the rising Kelvin Gastelum. The main event was originally scheduled to meet Anderson Silva but when Silva was pulled for a failed USADA drug test, it left the main event slot wide open.
To his credit, Bisping took the fight on two-weeks notice, and just three-weeks after his title loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217. The former middleweight champion was hoping to get back on the horse and get back in the win column, but Gastelum had other plans.
In typical fashion, the UFC fighters and mixed martial arts pros took to Twitter with their reactions.
