It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently short one match up for one of the mixed martial arts promotion’s upcoming fight cards.
UFC Fight Night 123 is set to go down Dec. 9 inside the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. During the night of exciting match ups, bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling was initially set to take on Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom Rani Yahya. However, it would appear that the injury bug has struck again.
As reported by MMA Junkie, Rani Yahya has since been removed from the UFC card due to an undisclosed injury.
Officials are currently looking for a new opponent for Sterling, as the fight night is a little over four weeks away.
In the night’s main event, featherweights Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega will be battling it out for division dominance.
