Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been having a tough time as of late. Now the UFC on FOX crew has come forward with their thoughts on Silva’ recent drug test failure.
“The Spider” was initially set to face off against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 212. However, Gastelum was pulled from the fight after failing a drug test for marijuana metabolites. The fighters were later rescheduled for the main event of UFC Fight Night 122, the mixed martial arts promotion’s debut event in Shanghai, China. However, Anderson Silva has since been pulled from the event due to a failed drug test.
This was not Silva’s first offense on the matter. Back in 2015, Anderson Silva failed a drug test for Drostanolone. As a result, the fighter’s unanimous decision victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 183 was overturned.
