Before there was ever a Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz I and II, there was almost a Conor McGregor vs. Urijah Faber.
This revelation comes via the Team Alpha Male General himself, who reveals that the UFC offered him a fight against Conor, before they booked the first with against Nate Diaz.
McGregor and Faber had their own history in the TUF house, and at a rare UFC backstage where the two once got physical. In a famous clip from their season, McGregor and former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt nearly come to blows and need to be separated.
The fight between Faber and McGregor would have captivated fight fans, but the UFC opted to move in another direction.
