Paige VanZant represents one of the UFC’s rare crossover stars who not only kicks but in the cage, but is a marketing force outside of it.
One need look no further than Paige’s multiple television stints as evidence of this fact.
Recently Paige revealed that she would no longer compete in the UFC’s strawweight division, explaining that the weight cut is too much on her body. Now, VanZant is moving up to the UFC’s new female division at flyweight, and believes those extra 10 pounds will make the difference.
Now, that her mind is made up about the move in weight, VanZant let TMZ in on one of her worst weight cuts, with a revealing and shocking photo.
TMZ reports:
“Never again. 125 is my division! I will take over,” Paige commented.
VanZant says weight cutting has affected her overall health — and has vowed not to go down that road ever again.
The UFC has recently created a women’s 125 pound division — and Paige says her next fight will be at that weight … a much healthier weight for her.
