Mixed martial arts veteran Vitor Belfort has locked in his next octagon performance. The fighter will now be facing off against Uriah Hall on Jan. 14 at UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Loius.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto broke the news. Here is his original story:
“A middleweight bout between Vitor Belfort and Uriah Hall has been officially added to UFC Fight Night on Jan. 14 in St. Louis.
Belfort, 40, previously leaked the matchup on social media, and the UFC made it official this week. The UFC Fight Night event will take place at Scottrade Center.
Additionally, the UFC added a female flyweight bout between Jessica Eye (11-6) and Kalindra Faria (18-6).
A 21-year veteran in mixed martial arts, Belfort (26-13) has stated Jan. 14 is the final fight on his UFC contract. He is coming off a unanimous decision win over Nate Marquardt in June.
Prior to that win, Belfort had been knocked out in three consecutive fights, although the third, to Kelvin Gastelum in March, was overturned to a no-contest when Gastelum tested positive for marijuana.
Hall (13-8) recorded a TKO victory over Krzysztof Jotko in September. It was the New York native’s first win in two years.
Eye, of Cleveland, was supposed to face Paige VanZant at UFC 216 last month, but VanZant was forced to withdraw due to injury.”
