Fight fans flocked to Sydney, Australia on Saturday night, Nov. 18, for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most recent fight card. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion hosted UFC Fight Night 121 inside the Qudos Bank Arena.
In the night’s main event, former UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum went toe-to-toe with Marcin Tybura. Tybura was initially set to face off against Australia’s own Mark Hunt in the night’s headliner, however the fighter was pulled from the event. As a result, Werdum stepped in to take on the open main event spot.
Werdum had earned a first round submission victory over Walt Harris at UFC 216 in October. That being said, this time around, things would not end so swiftly.
Werdum and Tybura went the distance in Saturday night’s main event, with Werdum earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. Now highlights from the night’s exciting heavyweight headliner can be seen in the video below:
