Rose Namajunas shocked Madison Square Garden when she earned a dominant win over the previously undefeated UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217. Jedrzejczyk was quickly becoming one of the most dominant fighters in the UFC, with 14 victories to her name. However, things did not go the champion’s way on Saturday night, Nov. 11.
“Thug” Rose dominated her opponent with a swift first round TKO victory for the strawweight title. Of course, this was not the first time Namajunas has stunned an MMA crowd.
In her second professional fight, Namajunas went toe-to-toe with Kathina Lowe at Invicta FC 5. The fighter made short work of her opponent with a first round flying armbar within the first moments of the fight. Check out the stunning finish in the video above.
